Liana Preudhomme
Clinical Psychologist

Welcome - I'm so glad you're here.

I'm Dr. Liana Preudhomme, a licensed clinical psychologist and the founder of Cape Clarity Integrative Psychology in Cape Coral, Florida. I specialize in health psychology — a field that bridges physical health and mental health, helping individuals cope with the emotional impact of chronic illness, pain, and medical conditions.

I received my doctorate from the University of Miami (Health Clinical), and completed both my APA-accredited clinical internship and postdoctoral fellowship in Health Psychology at the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. I am also an active member of the National Register of Health Service Psychologists and the American Association of Pain Psychology.

My Approach to Therapy

At Cape Clarity, I provide evidence-based psychotherapy and psychological assessment tailored to your unique emotional and behavioral needs. My integrative approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing - approaches proven to help clients manage stress, emotional overwhelm, and life disruptions related to long-term medical conditions.

We will work together to reduce the mental load that chronic symptoms bring and reconnect you with what truly matters—whether it's relationships, movement, creativity, or a sense of purpose. Therapy isn't one-size-fits-all. Together, we’ll tailor a plan that fits your needs, your goals, and your lived experience.

Who I Work With

I specialize in supporting:

  • People living with chronic illness and pain (e.g., lupus, IBS, fibromyalgia, diabetes, chronic fatigue, arthritis)
  • Individuals navigating cancer or life after treatment
  • Those adjusting to new diagnoses or medical limitations
  • People experiencing stress, loss or identity changes tied to their health
  • Caregivers who are emotionally worn down while supporting a loved one

These aren’t just clinical categories — they’re real, complex life experiences. I am inspired by the resilience and uniqueness of each person I meet, and I feel honored to walk alongside the people I work with as they gain clarity in their paths toward healing and growth.

Why Personalized Therapy Matters

At Cape Clarity, transparency and collaboration are at the heart of the therapeutic process—from the very first step. Here's what the beginning of our work together will look like:

  1. Initial Consultation (90 minutes) - We’ll explore what brings you to therapy, your goals, and whether this feels like the right fit.
  2. Collaborative Planning - Based on your priorities, we’ll design a personalized plan with your voice at the center.
  3. Ongoing Support - Through regular sessions (in-person or online), we’ll adapt your plan as you grow and make progress.
Let's Begin

Starting therapy is a powerful step. Whether you're managing a chronic condition, rebuilding after treatment, or caring for someone else - you deserve support. If you're curious about working together, I invite you to schedule a free consultation. Let's see if this feels like the right fit.
