Our approach in sessions is holistic, meaning we see you as a whole person, not a diagnosis.
If you’re comfortable, we might check in on various areas of life: your mood, your sleep, your relationships, even your nutrition or movement, because all these pieces interconnect.
We may incorporate mindfulness or relaxation exercises into the therapy hour, so you aren’t just talking about coping skills, you’re actually doing them, right there, with support.
If something isn’t working for you, we switch gears. There’s no “homework police” here; if you didn’t do that journal exercise because you were in too much pain, we understand and adapt.
Therapy is a judgment-free zone. It’s not about denying your pain or telling you to “stay positive.” It is about helping you acknowledge the very real challenges you face while also empowering you with tools and hope to handle those challenges.
You set the tone. If humor helps you cope, we’ll laugh together. If spirituality is important to you, we can integrate that. If you have a bad day and just need to sit in silence for a few minutes, that’s okay too.
